Beth's Blog

I am a little late passing this on, perhaps about 10 months or so too late, but Beth has been keeping a blog of her pregnancy and other stuff, The Adventures of Spinach & Sweet Potato.  I don't know if I am spinach or sweet potato, but I can tell you that we cook with both quite often (if you haven't tried, they go well on a pizza).

She was good about keeping out with the blog every week and there's quite a lot of Squeaker on there.  Yes, I realize I could have just linked to her posts all fall and you would have had plenty to read about, but think of the fun you will have rewinding the clock.  I will keep adding back posts to make up for lost time last year.  No new old posts this week though.

Piano Recital

It is that time of year again!  Squeaker's biannual piano recital has come again.  We apologize for not sending out invitations, but one minute of piano can be enjoyed just as well from the comfort of your own home....

It probably goes without saying that the box in the bottom left will make the video much bigger....

Chair Time

The Pooper Princess The Poop Rocket The Poop Squeaker's sister spends a fair amount of time downstairs in a cute little monkey chair.  It plays music, forest sounds, and vibrates, none of which she actually seems to appreciate yet.  Since just watching a baby sit in a chair might be a little boring, I sped things up a bit.  Enjoy!

We are still looking for a nickname for our 'cub' reporter.  She does seem to squeak a lot, so we could call her Squeaker, but according to our junior reporter and pancake chef, Squeakerpants is taken....

Also, as we get back up and running with weekly posts, for 2014, we will be spending time on the archives, and working backwards into 2013.  You can find a new post at from mid-December.

Meet the Baby!

As many of you have heard, big things are happening here in Squeakerland.  Christmas Eve did not turn out quite as expected!  While Squeaker was dreaming of sugarplums her new baby sister decided it was time to get started!  Unfortunately, she wasn't in a hurry and arrived in time for Christmas dinner.

This morning, Squeaker finally got to meet her sister!

Christmas Pageant

Greetings to everyone out there ins Squeaker land. We have a video for you from last night. Our cameraman only had his phone so you are a little far from the action. If you look close though you can see Squeaker correct her older co-star on his pronunciation.

Interview with the Baker

My girls don't seem to let a weekend pass without putting pancakes on the menu.  For the last few months, Squeaker has been particularly interested, and helpful.  This morning, she did almost all the measuring and quite a bit of the cooking!

And yes, while we have a little time this Christmas, I'll try and get a few events filled back in from the fall....

Piano Recital

Squeaker had a piano recital today, she did well during her brief piece.  I've included some of her during the hour after her performance.

Beach Trip

Today being the first day of the new year, it seems like a good day for some pictures.  Also, a good day for starting to get in the habit of posting again!

Squeaker Loses First Tooth!

 The tooth came out at lunch on the 18th.  The cheese did it.

And apparently it this process isn't going to go first in, first out....

Squeaker's First Swim Meet

Squeaker had her second first swim meet on Saturday.  I say second first, because she was supposed to have her first meet a couple of weeks ago.  She was sick that weekend so she couldn't make it. Unfortunately she started off with a headache this weekend too, but she rallied and had a good time. Squeaker's First Meet HD Enjoy the show!

Wine Festival and Birthday Party

Squeaker finally had her birthday party this weekend.  It was delayed by her cold (which she shared with almost everyone).  Two things to note:  the Daddy person promises that the Squeaker was thirsty and that's water in the glass and the Lightsabers were made from foam and no one was hurt in the filming of the battle scene.

Race Day

Squeaker did her first race today.  Let's just say that she doesn't know how to jog and she can't (yet) sprint a half mile, so she walked a little bit, but she had a good time.  In the coming months, look for details from more races.  Next SSN (Squeaker Sports Network) will be coming to you from the pool.

Birthday Girl!

She's holding up her 'All About Me' poster for school.  In what may be an unprecedented move, said poster is not actually due until Friday.  The Daddy person blames Squeaker's lovely assistant for that development.

In case you haven't guessed, the Daddy person is going back through his pictures and filling in some holes from July and August.  So check back for new material!

Back to School

After a busy summer of flower-girl-ing, swimming and reading, Squeaker is headed back to school.  For the curious, she is wearing the shirt of her favorite cupcake baker from Cupcake Wars.

Flower Power

Squeaker and I decided to wander over to the local botanical garden for the afternoon.  The Daddy person had a new camera he wanted to play with, and she likes to climb the trees.
