Riding the Rails

Squeaker and I took our first train trip this weekend. It wasn't a long trip, but it did let us hang out a museum and build a submarine. The Daddy person perhaps enjoyed that adventure more than she did. However, she really enjoyed riding on the train.

Squeaker and the Daddy person had a nice time touring this weekend, both on foot, on bike, and through museums. Most of these pictures were her idea. And no bunny ears!

Dreading The Alarm

We here at Squeakerpants.com are mindful of how lucky we have been with Squeaker's sleeping habits. She has been a good sleeper from the beginning so when she doesn't sleep, none of us are quite sure what to do with her. She had one of those nights last night. Her stomach hasn't been feeling well and she woke up a number of times, so in four minutes when that alarm goes off, who knows what is going to happen....

Bowling

Squeaker had her first bowling match this weekend at a birthday party. I am happy to report that she bowled an 87, the highest total in her group. Don't believe me, see for yourself!

The Animal Keeper

Many of you recognized that last week was the biannual beginning of classes post (when the Daddy person was so focused that he didn't even post and I'm sorry post). Over Christmas I reread some of the old posts from when she was just a little person. They were a lot of fun for me to write because she always seemed to do something interesting. She's still been up to her old tricks but they haven't always made it into the blog recently. So, here's what Squeaker was up to today: She put all her animals into cages and then with help put together their feeding instructions. Christmas Redux

We, the editors of Squeakerpants.com want to say first that your assumption is wrong! Those lazy editors are not recycling a Christmas shot from last month. This is in fact a Christmas shot from this month. No, Squeaker hasn't gone orthodox, our first snow days of the year fell on the last days of school, so Squeaker's Christmas program was rescheduled. She did great, and if I get a chance, I will post the video later this week.

Pancakes for the New Year

Squeaker and I made pancakes Friday morning. Don't worry, the daddy person handled the hot part, but Squeaker mixed the batter and cut the pancakes into cute little shapes. Unfortunately she's a little under the weather again. Off to the doctor in the morning to get rid of this cold.
